Arkansas Tech University is a public university in Russellville, Arkansas. The university was created by an act of the Arkansas General Assembly in 1909. ATU offers programs at both baccalaureate and graduate levels in a range of fields. Arkansas Tech welcomed its first doctoral cohorts in the Summer of 2015. The College of Business opened its doors for students in the fall of 1910. The first class to graduate from the school was the high school class of 1912. The mission of the Graduate College of Arkansas Tech University is to encourage a diversity of ideas in a climate of academic freedom and integrity. Advanced degrees are designed to complement and enhance undergraduate programs.
