Although there have been some changes in the format of the section since the official GMAC video was posted, it still provides a useful general overview of GMAT Quant.
The GMAT Quantitative section is also the most "feared" section, since it requires knowledge of mathematics and quant skills. However, the good news is that the Quant section requires knowledge of what is generally taught in secondary school Algebra and Geometry classes.
As of April 2018, the Quant section of the GMAT exam consists of 31 questions, which should be answered within 62 minutes. It contains two major types of questions – problem solving and data sufficiency.
The Quantitative section of the GMAT exam can help the admissions committee determine which students are capable of solving problems using quantitative data and showing good judgment when they have sufficient information to make decisions.
